Since I can't hide in my room forever and hopefully this way you won't all be surprised when you see me,

hey, surprise, I'm a shapeshifter and I've gone and turned green. No, I didn't do it on purpose. It just happened. Someone said something about it maybe being my actual default shape. IDK. I was a little stressed and not really listening at the time.

I don't know how to turn back and I'm basically on mansion house arrest till I can go outside without BEING GREEN at people.

I never laughed so hard. My eyebrows have always just stayed dark and arm hair and everything has also stayed a non-green color.

And, look - I was, homeless before I moved in here because I was a mutant and I didn't have the decency to hide it properly or present like a cis-girl all the time. I couldn't stay in shelters because I was a mutant and probably gonna be dangerous to other people.

I didn't got beat up - more than once - because i was a mutant and probably some kind of queer.

So that's real nice of you but yeah, I'm worried now because I can't hide being a mutant nearly as well anymore and that gets you targetted and profiled and all that shit way more than everything else I was before did.

I was extending a hand in friendship. Of course, we don't know each other very well and that can change.

I think I heard from a birdie that there are these bracelets that can give you the appearances of looking what people want to say "normal". I am not sure how, but I can ask around the mansion and see what I can come up with. And part of my job now is to help, especially people who can be targetted, profiled and have it bad.

There's tech that can help. Talk with Clarice or Kurt. I mean, it's not infallible, but it does the job.

Seconding the talking to Clarice and Kurt. Fuck, Kurt's been blue and fuzzy and with a tail his entire life - he's also really good at the talking thing.

(Just jumping in 'cause Kurt's my brother and if anyone knows what you're going through, it'll be him. Or Clarice, who turned purple in her teens.)

It might be a thing. It was rough enough at school when I had to keep hiding in the toilets because Girl! Boy! Girl! Boy! but if it's Girl! Boy! Green thing! then I can't really go back.

I'm a senior, man. I wasn't doing that great because of the whole hiding in the toilets and shapeshifting thing but I *really* want to graduate.

I'll setup a meeting with Professor Xavier, we'll get your transcripts, and we'll get you to the point where you can do some distance college if you want or whatever. I mean, yo, 2 person classes means you might pull up your GPA.

Well, even with Matt's pay for grades program, it's hard for it to go *down* at this point. I'm basically pulling in straight C's and a few D's.

Yeah well, hard to focus when you're trying to keep from growing the other set of facial features, right? So, that won't be a thing. IDGAF -what- cheekbones you're rocking in a particular minute.

We'll setup that meeting, figure out where you stand and then I'll sit down with you and Rahne and we'll figure out if we need to make any major schedule changes but probably not - even with you two in different grades, there's a lot of overlap time, cause of self-directed study.

Yeah - it's like *I* don't care what face I'm in but other people freak out so since I started at school as a boy because people don't look at boys the same way they do girls - like people *notice* if a girl's cheekbones change, I have to not change the whole time I'm there.
